Selected Artworks

Christopher Hall’s paintings have always been imbued with a sense of history and a fragmented, collage like approach. The surface texture is often a key element as the painting develops; images are appropriated, sections are worked and re-worked before arriving at a point where the final piece either works or it collapses in on itself. Here is a selection of his works that range from figurative studies and political allegories to pure abstraction and the joy that can be found in letting a process take on a life of its own.
